At first glance, you would be forgiven if you dismissed the Studiotone as just another tiny combo. In classic Koch tradition however, this compact power combo sounds much bigger, and has more features than one would suspect. Beginning with two EL84 power tubes in Class A, a newly designed speaker and cabinet, three foot switchable channels and two powerful voicing switches, the Studiotone sound brings to mind the British valve amps of the 60’s. The three channels (clean, overdrive & overdrive +) take you from round warm tones to saturated EL84 overdrive & compression. The 2-way ‘Mid Shift’ allows you to boost the mid frequencies around 800 Hz and the 3-way ‘Bright’ switch allows you to cut or boost the high frequencies for fine tuning the top end. Some of the big surprises are left for the back panel though, and a quick inspection reveals a serial effects loop, a recording output with microphone placement and cabinet style simulators, two line outputs (one unfiltered and one low level) and a ‘Headphone Out’ jack. Speaker outputs at 4, 8 and 16 ohm allow for any combination of speakers and the built in Power Soak/Speaker on/off switch allow the amp to be played with the speaker turned off for recording or headphone use. There is also an short spring reverb tank, with front mounted level adjustment.

The Koch Twintone II is a gigging guitarists dream. Its compact size and relative light weight, disguise the power, versatility and ease of use this amplifier has to offer.
Two EL34 Power Tubes supply 50 watts of power….more than enough to drive any of the Koch extension speakers. A well defined ‘Clean’ channel makes way for the new ‘low gain’ Overdrive channel and the high gain Overdrive+, and takes the user from a pristine clean sound through exciting ‘crunch’ tones to saturated overdrive with infinite sustain. The new ‘Gain’ knob is a powerful feature combining Drive (OD) and Gain Boost in one knob.

This guarantees well dimensioned boost in every position of the knob when switching from OD-OD+. The ‘Bright Clean’ guitar input trims the mids somewhat for humbucking pickups and makes sure the pure tone of the Twintone II is available for all types of guitar pickups. Our built in Power Soak allows the amp to be run at a full 50 watts, 25 watts or 0 watts for headphone and/or recording purposes, and the Koch ‘Solo/Rhythm’ feature gives the user two adjustable and foot switchable master volume settings.

The Accutronics long tank spring reverb has a level control on the back panel for just the right amount of effect; and as with all Koch amps, there is a Direct Out for recording/PA that can be used with or without the speaker engaged.

If ever there was an all tube ‘Tone Chameleon’, capable of fulfilling every guitar players needs, we believe the Multitone would be that amplifier. Available as a 50 or 100 watt combo or head, this robust 3 channel amp with Accutronics long tank reverb and 5 button foot switch, will inspire you to play! The classic styled Pre-channel with the tone circuitry in the preamps’ input stage, houses the ‘Clean’ and ‘Drive’ channels, dedicated bass-mid-treble controls and a 3 way ‘Bright’ switch for fine tuning upper frequencies on both channels.

The ‘Clean’ stays clean even at high volume levels, and the ‘Drive’ channel is like having the world’s best ‘drive pedal’ installed inside your amplifier, taking you from a slightly crisper clean sound to full-on drive without compression. The Post-channel; with tone circuitry in the preamp’s output stage, houses the ‘Gain’ channel, dedicated presence-bass-mid-treble controls and a 2-way ‘Mid-shift’ switch. This channel will take you from a fat, slightly edgy clean sound, to absolute high-gain melt-down, full of sustain & compression, all the while dripping with that great Koch tone! As extras, we have added a 3-way speaker damping switch, serial and parallel effects loops, and a Penthode/Triode switch to run the amp at 100% power or 50% power.

Normal and Bright Clean inputs allow for any pickup selection and as always, a direct output for recording is conveniently located on the back panel. From jazz to metal, there is nothing this amp cannot do!

Simply put, the Powertone II is the next dimension in guitar amplification. With only two directions in life; power & tone, the amp is properly named, and make no mistake, this is a rock amp! The Powertone offers three channels, two foot-switchable volume settings, Accutronics long tank reverb and voicing switches on all channels. The ‘Clean’ channel offers luscious clean tones, rich open and well defined. The ‘Gain’ channel has 4 tube stages, and its improved dynamics and compression make it a great rhythm channel for most heavier rock styles. The ‘Ultra-Gain’ channel has 5 tube stages bringing you the highest gain and most harmonically rich lead tone, while maintaining a high level of articulation.

Like the Multitone, the clean channel incorporates a 3-way bright switch, and the 2 overdrive channels each have a dedicated 2-way mid-shift switch. The Powertone also has the 3-way Speaker Damping switch, taking the amp from a clear tight bottom end to one which is incredibly powerful and open. Serial & parallel effects loops, and a direct output for recording are also included on the back panel.

The Supernova; the ultimate all tube amp on the market. Modern day technology with all tube sound. Although this amp performs well on its own, for the more demanding user it has the ability to integrate fully with a MIDI controlled set-up. All 5 channels can all be voiced, using the toggle switches on the right, to the personal taste of the user and the settings then can then bestored in the internal memory ready for recall.

The FS6-SN footswitch (NOT included) enables you to either use this amp as a channel switching amp (the numbers on the footswitch correspond with the five channels) or you can use the amp as a “sound” switching amp. You can create sounds you want and save them under the footswitch button of your choice, ready for instant recall. As an extra you can add the FS2- SN footswitch which will enable you to switch “mute to tune” and to mute/by-pass all fx-loops with one push of the button. Besides working with the footswitch you can also control the amp with any MIDI controller on the market. You can then create 128 sounds with the Supernova and the rest of the gear you use in combination. Although the front panel has many knobs and switches we have kept the user interface very simple and clear. We wanted the user to be able to create new sounds instantly, without having to read the manual several times.

All-tube single-ended 0,5W power amp with drive and volume controls. This will give you the effect
of an all-tube amp fully driven, what you hear is a great saturated sound from power tubes played

at your disposal. The OTS is placed between the pre-amp and power-amp section. This function
is a unique “Koch” feature!

These new amps are designed to please the more demanding guitarist who loves the no nonsense “all about tone” approach to guitar amplification. The design is based on a single-Ended all-tube low-powered amplifier operating at 100% Class-A. Using as less components as possible, Dolf Koch has created pure tube-tone monsters which sound very dynamic and are very responsive to your playing and the type of guitar you use.

The Classic SE series consists of two models, the C-SE6 (6 Watt) and the C-SE12 (12 Watt), both available as combo only. We offer the Classic SE series with four different tube types. Each tube type has its own distinctive sound character.

The C-SE6 (6Watt) is available with:

° EL84, With this tube you will get tons of rock and roll crunch at your disposal. Turning back your volume will
clean the sound up nicely. The amp will deliver deep bass, bell-like highs and a clear midrange.

° 6V6, choose this version when you love a cleaner twangy type of tone with a mellow and open character.
Turning up the gain will bring you nice crunch sounds up to a screaming but very controllable distortion.

The C-SE12 (12Watt) is available with:

° 5881, these tubes will deliver (tube) tone as it was meant to be. Ranging from warm, almost "piano-like"
lows up to crystal clean highs the sound will astound you. Turning up the volume will give you a fat but
articulate overdrive.

° EL34, Here you are talking about a firm but controlled low end with smooth mids and a silky top end. Turning
up the gain will give you a singing sustain with a modest compression

The built-in auto-bias circuit enables you to exchange various tube types without the need to rebias the amp. With the Classic-SE you can keep on creating new sounds very fast utilizing the single Tone control in combination with the three voicing switches (Mid-boost, Basscut and Gain-boost) and with the Gain and Volume control. The Mid-boost will give you extra definition and the Bass-cut will keep the low-end tight at higher distortion levels. By turning up the Gain and adding Gain-boost you can create a more saturated sound which will get richer the more you turn up the Volume control. As most guitarists love to record their own inspiring tonal paintings we have added a recording output with built-in speaker simulation for the best results. The speaker on/off switch with speaker load enables you to turn off the speaker for silent recording. For even more flexibility there is a line input for connecting an external preamp such as the Koch Pedaltone. Last but definitely not least you can use both models in two power modes. The Standby switch has three positions: Standby, Full-power and Low-power. In the Lowpower mode the amp delivers only 1/3 of its nominal output power (Full-power mode), enabling you to create full power amp distortion at a lower volume level. Playing the first notes on either of these amps will dazzle you’re creative brain and forge you to continue playing whether you are at home, in the studio or on stage.
